Lightroom Export to Sta.sh

This plugin is released without warranty or any promise of tech support because I’m still working on it, and you’re paying nothing for it.

If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Now that I’ve pointed out that I’M NOT DOING TECH SUPPORT for this plugin (I reserve the right to utterly ignore the expected comments on this post despite what I’m saying), download it here: NO TECH SUPPORT PROVIDED

About the plugin

It’s a simple export to Sta.sh plugin.

How does it work? Simple. First of all, in the Export panel, select “Export To: Sta.sh”. That means, click on the dropdown menu at the top of the export panel, and select “Sta.sh” from the list.

Then, login. The first time you use the plugin, you’ll have to authorize the plugin. This sounds harder than it is:

  1. Click the “Log In” button.
  2. Click the “Authorize at Sta.sh” button that pops up.
  3. Click the shiny blue “Authorize” button in the web browser window that pops up.
  4. Wait for dA to work for a bit.
  5. Copy the numbers on the “Your code is:” page.
  6. You sure you copied the numbers, and only the numbers?
  7. Paste the numbers into the convenient text box that Lightroom is now showing.
  8. Click “OK”
  9. Wait for Lightroom to go get your username.

Eventually, you should get something like this:

Good news: It works just like your normal export processes in Lightroom.

Bad news: Once you’ve exported your images, you have to go to Sta.sh, and manually submit them. But you’ll have your images uploaded, and the keywords, title and description fields filled with data you put in Lightroom. Saves time right there!

And, No, this plugin cannot automagically submit images to your dA gallery, dA doesn’t allow that. Complain to them, not to me.

Number of people who authorized the app on dA:

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for this plugin, very useful. I’m waiting for the day that dA will let us submitting our pictures directly to its main service.

Hi, I just tried it in LR 4.2 and everything went fine till I tried to Login in LR. Went to DA web for confirmation, get the code and copied it to LR, rewrited it LR, get new codes by authorizing again and nothing seems to work still getting the Not logged in status. Any tips?

Oh figured it out. Somehow my Win 8 firewall blocked Lightroom from accesing the internet..

I got confused because your plugin managed to get the authorization code from the web even wehn it was blocked but others plugin which I tried couldn’t. So everything is fine now.

Sorry for the spam and thank you for the amazing plugin!

    Bye ๐Ÿ™‚

I know you don’t offer support, but that will not stop me from asking anyways, if you answer or help great if not I will remove you from my Christmas Card list.

So I do not know if this is a plugin issue or a dA issue but they offer no help either ๐Ÿ™‚

When I upload the Title I set in Lightroom is being stripped so all photos show as untitled, this makes me sad, will you break a rule and give a guy a hand?

What’s stopping me (on a technical basis) is that I’m currently using Lightroom 4, so I can’t really fix anything in LR CC. :\
(Also why I haven’t really done anything for LR5)
Can’t promise anything, but I’ll see if I can use the trial to diagnose & fix the issue.

Kyle, just letting you know. Whether you had done anything to it or not. Lightroom 5.71 (Camera RAW 8.71) works perfectly with your plugin.

For reference, I’m using plugin edition 20140829.211.130464544 on Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit, DA Core Membership.

    Title, comments, meta, all there.

    Thumbs up sir!
